about
There’s a new band in town (well, sort of); Sydney’s most talented and tasteful revivalists of lush 60s/70s rock, folk and alt-country, Noodle House today announce their new moniker as Hot Apple Band and share their first new single in four years, ‘Old Age’ — a soft rock song about growing old with a loved one. The track opens with piano chords as Kinder’s smooth vocals sing heartfelt sentiments and group harmonies reverberate behind him. The piano chords build and soon a drum fill introduces more groove as Mosley’s slide guitar grows into one hell of a solo.
What began in 2018 as a solo venture of guitar and vocalist Jack Kinder soon became more of a collaboration with friend Lewis Mosley, as an integral co-writer with his unforgettable lead guitar playing. Over the past 5 years, Noodle House released two singles, ‘Til The End’ and ‘One Day (I’ll See)’ that saw the band receive praise from Deafen County, Shindig Magazine (UK), Happy Mag, Trouble Juice, Life Without Andy and rotation on FBi Radio. With a talented revolving lineup, the band built a loyal following around the local Sydney scene and across Australia due to their unforgettable live performances, playing alongside the likes of Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys, Andy Golledge, Sunfruits, Bones and Jones, The Uplifting Bell Ends and more.
Weaving a lush sound with vintage authenticity, Hot Apple Band radiates the brilliance of timeless artists such as George Harrison, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Harry Nilsson in the modern day, much like Daniel Romano, Weyes Blood and The Lemon Twigs.
